To ensure that you do not exceed the allowable percentage of impervious coverage on your lot, you must complete the following section of the application. This requirement is not negotiable and is mandated by the city of San Marcos in a special agreement with Kissing Tree entitled the Paso Robles Planned Development District or PDD.
To calculate the percentage of allowable square footage you have to work when designing your project, please
review this example. In the example, the lot referenced occupies 43% of the available 60% impervious coverage and therefore has a remaining amount of 17% or 1,247.12 square feet to work with in a design. Note that each lot will be different, but the calculation will be the same.
Please take time to review your application and provide us with a breakdown of the remaining percentage of impervious coverage on your lot (not to exceed 60% in totality) and the equivalent square footage you must work with. Your improvement cannot exceed the remaining amount of square footage allowed for impervious coverage on the lot. Please contact ktmc@coherelife.com if you have any questions.
